So what is Alexa? Alexa is an Amazon cloud based voice service (much more popular as voice assistant like Apple Siri, Google Assistant, or Microsoft Cortana). Using Alexa you can get information, play music, order a pizza, control your things, check weather, check traffic and you can even custom it by creating an Alexa skills. Now this voice service is installed on different devices commonly Amazon Echo Dot, Echo, Echo Show, even on LG refrigerator, alarm clock, T.V. and many more. You can check this year “Amazon’s Alexa is everywhere at CES 2017“. As of writing Amazon release it’s latest models of Amazon Echo. Please watch to see Alexa in action.

I created a list here of Amazon Alexa Devices. Amazon released Alexa in November 2014 (Amazon Echo and the Amazon Echo Dot devices). It was named Alexa after the ancient library of Alexandria. Alexa was inspired by the computer voice and conversational system on board the Starship Enterprise in science fiction TV series and movies, beginning with Star Trek: The Original Series and Star Trek: The Next Generation.

As of writing there are already thousands of Alexa Skills App that you can install to your Alexa device. In order to install an Alexa Skills App use your Amazon email account and login on http://alexa.amazon.com/, go to settings to detect your device. If you are using an Echo Show or Echo with display screen go to setting and enter your email you created on Amazon.
